Question
Hello I just got a rabbit today and,i was holding him and he jumped and fell. I picked him up and put him in his cage and observed him and he was shying away from his hind left foot. I felt both of his legs and they feel the same, but im not sure what to think or do. I would take him to a vet but I dont have a enough money to pay for a appointment so I was wondering if you could tell me what I should do. Please respond
Thank you,
Kevin

Answer
hello kevin

its in a rabbits nature to jump especially when they are scared. As you have only had him since yesterday, it may take him a while to settle in.Leave him for a few days so that he gets used to his new environment.

sorry but i dont know what to advice as i am not a vet. he may of sprained his foot a little,if so he will need care from a vet.I understand that vet bills are very pricey but animals are for life, rabbits need alot of care and twice yearly check up to the vets also to have their two very important vacinations that they need. He needs to see a vet.

hope this helps
