Question
Hello, my name is Abby Oliver and I am the owner of two male rabbits. I know that one of them (Vida) is what the person whom sold her to me called an albino lion head. Unfortunately I do not know the bread of the other (Nibbles). But here's the thing Nibbles is at least 10 years old if not older and Vida is almost 3 years old. Well a couple of days ago i decided to put vida in our outside cage for the second time in his life, for he usually stays in his inside cage inside our home. Well I could tell right away that he was nervous of the dogs and being outside in particular, so i got the idea that if we put Nibbles in the cage with him (Nibbles is used to the outside and the dogs) than he wouldn't be as scared, so I did. Right as i put them together, Nibbles got on top of Vida and started biting him, making hair fly all over and then before I knew it, Vida was doing the same thing to him. I pulled them off but they went right back to it. Now I knew this was probably not uncommon for two male rabbits so I thought that maybe if I just let them do it for a while longer, eventually they would get tired of it and stop. But here's the thing, they never did. So finally i had to put them back into their separate cages before they tore each other up.Now my question to you is, will they ever stop? If i leave them to do what they do will they indeed get tired of it? And if not, how do I help them or make them stop? Thank you for your time, please get to me as soon as possible!

Answer
hello abby

two male rabbits get along alot less than two females. two males always seem to fight more. and putting them straight into the cage together is why they had fight. you should have took baby steps and introduced them very slowly first , also you put your rabbit into another rabbits cage so straight away he was very dominant against his cage and environment.

its up to you if you want to try them again but take only little steps and the first sign of fighting split them up.

hope this helps
