Question
hi,ive had my rabbit for a year and half now, she is a huge rabbit but shes just getting fatter and fatter i am aware that she must be overweight. she get an average bowl of food each day and has a huge cage and a good sized run attached all day. so she does get excersize. sometimes i give her a bit extra food/grass/carrots but she is just getting worse, she has been breathing really heavily loud recently and im abit worried.i looked in her ears today and there full of junk and her left ear was bleeding? any advice
thanks alana

Answer
Hello, alana

Well I never took my rabbits to the vets as I did say only if its an emergency but I will advice you to go to the vet! In the meantime I would take a small amount of mineral oil and rub her ears gently with it. thats not to say you must not go to the vet just to comfort her! And if you feel the vet is a bit costly then try the pet stores. Some adcice that you can read!

Maybe you feed your rabbit fatty foods thats the reason its getting fatt! like I will advice not to give rabbits pallets for many heath reasons. If you need to find a good rabbit vet, go to:
