Question
I have 3 rabbits in separate cages on my screened in porch, one is a  male Hotot, a doe Mini Rex and a doe mixed breed part Tan.  We let them all run at separate times.  The mixed breed has been spraying all over and she is just neurotic when the other 2 are out. Any help as what I can do with her behavior.  The mixed is about 4-5 months old.  Thanks for any help you can give me.

Answer
I have the same issue with my rabbits, my breeders are caged and my pet bun Lucy has run of the area alot, when my does hit puberty and breeding age they all seem extra bothered by Lucy's being able to run around.  I either cover their cage so that they can not see the other rabbit or let them out first so that they are less likely to get all worked up about Lucy being out.  There is not alot you can do about it, it is just something rabbits seem to do.  But try covering the cage and letting her out first to see if that helps.

And the spraying is because she has hit puberty, and with the other female she is "protecting" her territory. Which is also a cause of the crazy behavior.  The only thing that will fix that is age, being neutered or being bred in some cases.

Good luck
