hi i have made an appointment for the vets but they can not see him till four so i am sitting here worried .snowbunny was fine yesterday running around garden but this morning he had not eaten his food also has white discharge around the eyes and is continuously sneezing i am concerned it is the snuffles  but was wondering what other signs to look for i have read all info on recommended sites could this be just a cold what are recovery chances if it is snuffles/ also i have never needed to take a pet to the vets so i don't know how much treatments cost is it very expensive i would hate to lose him he is my best friend thanks Vicki

Dear Vicki,

You're doing the best thing by getting him to the vet as soon as possible.  It sounds as if he has an upper respiratory infection, and that is treatable with rabbit-safe antibiotics from the vet.  

If his eyes are running, there could be dental involvement, but this would initially be treated with antibiotics, as well.  For more information, please read:

I'm glad you're getting him to the vet right away.  Prompt treatment of any illness is the best way to ensure quick recovery.
