I have heard that the pink eyed white Californian and New Zealand are best for meat. Do the white rabbits have better meat or is that just what is preferd? I am getting some Champagne d'Argent rabbits and dont plan on using them for meat but i was just curious.

Dear Mike,

I have no more information about this than I would if someone asked me if the mean of Asian people tasted better than that of Europeans:  I suppose it's possible that different genes means different chemical composition/taste, but I have no interest in finding out.

To me, rabbits are intelligent, social, wonderful animals that don't belong on a dinner plate.  They belong on the sofa next to me, watching TV with me, or cuddling on my pillow.
