Question
do i have 2 keep my male away from my female & new born babies ?
does the male eat the babies ?

Answer
Dear Michelle,

You need to keep dad away from the mother because he can impregnate her within minutes of her giving birth.  This would mean that she'd have babies again before her first litter is even weaned, and that's bad for everyone concerned.

The male is not likely to harm the babies (the mother is actually more likely to do that, if she's stressed), but for the reason stated above, DO NOT put the male rabbit in with his family.  Now is the time to have him neutered so that by the time the babies are leaving the nest he can be carefully reintroduced to his family as per the tips here:

For instructions on how to make sure mama and babies do well, please read this:

But the *most* important information can be found here:

I hope this helps.
