Rabbit not walking on rear end

22 10:14:26

Question
I had a buck that passed away not to long ago that seemed to have problems with his rear end (i.e. not being able to move properly/normally) I never knew what was wrong with him. I now have a female that seems to be having similar symptoms. She is not eating much at this point and now doesn't seem to want to move her rear end at all. I am new at raising rabbits and wanted to know if this is a potential diesese or something other.

Answer
Hello Debi!

Well it is not uncommon for a rabbit to have its legs broken while in the nest box and at that young age they do not show much pain they usually heal up and are healthy. This does not seem like the problem with your rabbit.
It sounds like your rabbit has a broken back, while this may not seem painful it may affect the rabbits appetite and the ability to properly pass her bowles this would end up killing your rabbit it just looses all control of his body functions and her body shuts down and that may be why she is not eating. check her backside and see if she is soiled all over if so clean it up as good as you can. you will have to do this from now on, I hope I am wrong about her broken back
I do not think it is a disease!.   Good luck
Dan
