QuestionI have a 5 year old rabbit who lives indoors and has always been very healthy. Lately we noticed she has also been sneezing a lot, constantly drinking water and the main problem is that she has a lot of stool (are these cecotropes?) stuck to her tail like a ball of concrete. They have a terribly foul odor. I keep hoping this hard ball will eventually fall off as she moves around but this hasn't happened. She doesn't like to be picked up but I think someone will have to hold her down as I try to remove it myself with warm water. What causes this? Should I be giving her more greens as is suggested in my "Rabbits for Dummies" book? Thanks in advance for your advice.
Answerhi joan-sorry i did not reply earlier but with have been decorating and my pc was down.
its greens thats the problem they have given her the runs -only feed green once a week and now keep her on a dry rabbit mix.
you will have to somehow bathe her and tidy her rear end up -use warm soapy water and dry her with a warm hairdryer.
