Adult rabbit 8 months and 10 week old rabbit

Question
Hi - I have been given a small baby rabbit of 10 weeks and I already have an 8 month old rabbit - both rabbits are male.
I have put them in the same hutch and they seem fine, just the older one doing lots of sniffing. But now the older one is trying to constant Hump the younger one and I am afraid that this isn't normal and also that the adult will hurt the younger one. Please help me with what to do and if i should separate them . Thank you.

Answer
Hi Lorraine. I am sorry for taking so long to get back to you. I have had computer problems. I replaced the computer as soon as money would allow but again I am sorry that it wasn't sooner. You will need to separate the two bunnies. The older buck will continue to mount the younger one and may get aggressive and begin to bite and pull the fur of the younger bunnie. Rabbits are usually better kept in separate pens unless they are neutered. Again, I am sorry for the delay, and I wish you the best with your little friends. Pat
