Question
I asked another rabbit expert why my rabbit was suddenly acting aggressive. She said that she could possibly have a health issue. Do I have to take her to the vet? Because my mother thinks that she is just stressed. I want to take her but I can't drive so I can't. How do I convince my mom to take her? If she does have a health problem will it spread to my other rabbits?

Answer
Dear Hailey,

Is your rabbit spayed?  If not, and she's just now reaching sexual maturity, then this could be the cause of aggression.  Sex hormones, false pregnancies, etc. can make her moody and grouchy.  Please read:

For tips on dealing with aggression, please read this very important and excellent article:

You can find a good rabbit vet here:

www.rabbit.org/vets

who can help you with this problem.  Stress might be contributing, but it's not the ultimate cause of the aggression.  Your bunny needs veterinary help to get to the bottom of this, and first stop is a spay.

Hope this helps.
