Question
Hi, I just recently purchased a rabbit, and wasn't given much instruction on how to care for it. I think it could be some sort of female Dwarf rabbit, but I know its a domestic rabbit of some sort. Could you inform me on things like feeding, cleaning and caring?

Answer
Dear Joshua,

It's better to prepare before you buy a pet, so you know what you're getting into.  But now that you have your new pal, it's time to do some quick catch-up work.  The best place to start is:

www.rabbit.org/

Click on the "House Rabbits 101" link at the top of the first paragraph, and you'll find a wealth of information on diet, housing, litterbox training and general care.  Here are two important articles to read about signs to look for to know if your bunny is sick, and needs a good rabbit vet:

You can find a good vet here:

I hope this helps.  Good luck with your new bunny.  I hope you have many years of fun and affection ahead of you!
