Question
My rabbit is only 9 weeks old, last night she jumped straight out of my arms but she seemed fine, i ckecked her over and she was her usual self, running about, jumping etc.  When i lifted my rabbit this morning she had some jobbies attached to her bum I removed these and put her out in her run out the back door that is when i noticed there was dried blood on my hand but i cant see where it is coming from?  please can you advise me what to do as this is my first rabbit.  thanks

Answer
Dear Lynn,

My advice would be to get her to a good rabbit vet immediately for evaluation.  It's good that she's acting normal, but I'd want to be sure she doesn't have anything broken that needs treatment, even if it's a broken toenail.  Check all her feet for signs of dried or fresh blood. Any open wounds can be washed with dilute povidone iodine solution, and clip the fur away so it won't stick on and keep dirt in the wound.

You can find a good rabbit vet here:

Hope this helps.
