Question
hi, i have a male rabbit that has what looks like a wart but i did not see it 4 day ago, my other rabbit had this and i just cut it of and it looks like they are not coming back, but i just want to know what is this and it there a better way to get rid of them.

Answer
Hi,

I can't really advise because I can't be sure it was a wart.  I'd want to make sure it wasn't something else, my suggestion is always to take them in to a good rabbit vet and get a diagnosis from them first to at least know what exactly you are dealing with.  You have no idea if it's some kind of viral wart deal that you might be able to treat with antivirals from the vet, it could be something they just can't get rid of on their own.  Besides warts are not something normal they should get especially in the ear.  WHo knows if it's got a link to cancer or is pre-cancerous growth?

Without a proper diagnosis you have no idea of what you are truly up against or if it's something that can have long-term health risks.  I'd get them in just to be safe since both have it and it's apparently passed from one to the other.

If you need to find a good rabbit vet (not all are) go here:

to find a House Rabbit Society recommended vet near you.
