Question
I have 2 and a half months bunny and I've been thinking to buy her a friend as I will go to college and don't have much time for her, can she be paired with an angora rabbit? Should it be female or male?
My second question, is it true that bunny can't be feed with cool vegetables/fresh from refrigerator? Before I have 2 bunnies which die on the same day, they seems to have breathing problems.. Thank you Dana.. Hope ur reply..

Answer
Dear Michelle,

Before bringing home another bunny, please read the important articles on bonding here:

This is not something to be done lightly, as it can be challenging to get two rabbits to bond.  Your bunny should first be spayed.  Please see:

www.bio.miami.edu/hare/spay.html

and

www.rabbit.org/health/spay.html

Opposite sex pairs work best, but only if both are spayed/neutered.

Cool vegetables from the refrigerator are not dangerous.  The signs you describe are more likely from respiratory infection, which requires immediate attention from an experienced rabbit vet:

Hope this helps.
