Question
today i observed that my rabbit's upper teeth is half broken.it is in a stage that it cannot eat any thing nor the teeth is coming out.what happened

Answer
Dear Jahnavi,

Rabbits are hypsodonts, which means that their teeth grow continually, all their lives.  So the good news is that although your bunny has broken a tooth (this can happen any number of ways, from trauma to the bunny pulling on cage wires and catching a tooth), it will grow back.

The bad news is that until he does, you will have to cut his food into little strips and bite-sized chunks that he can eat without having to cut them with the front teeth.

Keep a close eye on the teeth to be sure they grow back properly.  You may have to have a veterinarian file them so they are even, and will grow back without problems.  You may be able to find a rabbit vet via the international listings linked here:

I hope your bunny will be fine soon.
