Huge Eater Didnt Want Breakfast.... Im Worried

Question
My three year old holland lop doe, who is normally a very enthusiastic eater and knows her eating schedule - in fact enforces it by thumping and raking her cage - was very subdued this morning. She didn't ask for her breakfast and her snack from last night was left untouched. She was huddled into a corner and when I picked her up she seemed listless. I did notice that her ears seemed to be cooler than usual. There was no crusting around her nose or mouth, and her stool seems to be normal. I gave her half of an apple to try to entice her but she didn't even sniff it when I put it under her nose. When she was back in her cage, she moved back to the corner and huddled there again. This is a very recent development - just this morning. I had to go to work but I am strongly considering taking her to a vet tonight when I get back if she doesn't seem to have rallied. She is normally a very spirited rabbit and my mommy senses are tingling. Suggestions?

Answer
Dear Danielle,

Do not wait to get her to a good vet right away.  Please find one here:

www.rabbit.org/vets

A rabbit acting this way could be very sick.  They tend to hide signs of illness until they are quite sick, and then it's really a problem.  Please read this for emergency instructions:

I hope you can get her to the vet right away!
