Question
first: my rabbit wont drink any water i tried to give it to him with a syringe adding some sugarless carrot juice but it didnt work
second: he has itching in all his body so i took him to a vet he said he's fine after checking that he doesn't have any parasites
i thought that it might be allergic to some food, i feed him parsley and dill and one carrot per day wet with water
third: i couldnt find any timothy hay in my country but i found hay that is for horses some people told me its fine and their bunnies love it
i know its alot of questions but am worried and confused because its my first time to have a rabbit pet and i cant find an expert vet
thanks

Answer
Dear Rania,

If your bunny is scratching a lot, he may have parasites that can be treated with Revolution/Stronghold (selamectin), or--if that is not available--ivermectin.  You can read more here:

Rabbits can get all the water they need from their food.  Just provide a heavy ceramic crock that can't be knocked over, and certainly DO NOT add sugar!  Bunny will do the rest.  You can find a good overview of healthy rabbit diet here:

www.bio.miami.edu/diet.html

and all the best information on rabbit health and care here:

I hope this helps.
