Question
QUESTION: Hi,

I have two female rabbits that have been spayed last month, for a few weeks the dominant rabbit (Jaws) has been pulling fur from her sister (Marble). She pulls tufts of fur and eats it, I often see her doing this and try to stop it, I'm growing increasingly worried as Marble is bony to touch though she's eating well, and her fur is looking bedraggled and thin with a few bald patches. I can't bear to seperate them as sometimes they get on so well and groom each other. is there any way to stop Jaws from being so aggressive she also tries to hump Marble occasionally making grunting noises, poor Marble always tries to run away.

ANSWER: hi chrissy the only way to stop this is to seperate them -the rabbit that eats the fur may get a fur ball in its throat and will then need a vet to sort it out.

QUESTION: Oh dear, is it possible after seperating them that I can try to re bond them?

Answer
hi chrissy if you have room I suggest put them together outside for a bit and see how they get on when the time is up put them back into their own cage -this way they will still be friedly -if possible have both cages so that they can see each other.
