Questionhi,
my rabbit has been straining to pee about almost a month ago.Sometimes, he strain nothing comes out. Other times, it comes out almost like normal in terms of volume.
since he was on baytril for his eye infection when I first realise, the vet recommend to continue and watch as he is still producing output and eating well.
my rabbit is also obese. he's 3.2kg. he's suppose to be aroud 2 kg plus according to my vet. so this put him at risk for any anaesthesia procedure. I also recently found a bald patch above his penis, i suppose it is urine scald. Please advice me on what's best to be done. I'm really worried. My rabbit is otherwise normal. He still jumps around, eat n poop like normal. i did change his diet to more fresh vege and only bout 3 tablespoons of pellets per day.
AnswerDear Pam,
Your bunny may be suffering from a urinary tract infection, or could have bladder stones (uroliths) or bladder sludge. You will need a good, experienced rabbit vet for this, and fortunately, there are some in Malaysia. You can find them via the international listings here:

Please also see:

for additional information on conditions affecting the urinary tract. I hope this helps.
