swollen testicles

dear Dana,

i brought my 10 month old rabbit oscar into the house today and notices that his testicales were very swollen and soft. they looked very sore. he sat with his back legs apart. could you give me any information about what it could be?

It could be infection, fly strike, or any number of other disorders.  Check for maggots!  If there are maggots, he needs immediate veterinary attention!
