Question
hi,
we have a pet netherland dwarf you is just a few months old. she is regularly handled but has not been handled for at max 3days. i have just handled her and found roughly 5 large and pussy boils on her. my parneter did pop one which did not hurt her but has left her with a large hole. we plan on taking her to the vet in the morning. but do you have any idea as to what it could be?? she has a few smaller ones which have scabed over and only the size of a largish pin pick. they are in groups. im not sure if something has bit her, if its larva on from when she was pref kept with guineapigs while there hutch was being fixed. but they never fought.

thank you
Amy

Answer
Hi Amy,

I am hoping that you have already been to the vet.  My best guess would be either bot fly larvae or injuries from bite wounds.  Guinea pigs and rabbits should never be kept together.  An angry rabbit can kill a guinea pig with one swift kick.

Good luck I hope the vet has figured out the problem.
