about rabbit food

Hello,Dave.I have some question and wish you can answer me.
In china,people are very concerned about the hay called timothy,actually ,too concerned about it, also,we strictly regulates how much vegetable they can eat.Because we think vegetable contains too much water and sugar.
But the fact is after a long distance transportation,the timothy hay is not fresh enough ,and it'll be stored by merchant for nearly a year which means I spent a lot of money and bought a bag of timothy which may be manufactured from more than a year ago.
Under this condition,are those timothy hay still so important?And in your country, how are your people look on the relationships of timothy and fresh vegetable?
What's your recipe for your rabbit?And do you hear about the brand following:JOJO's best,APD,MOMI.this 3 brands is the most popular 3 in our country for selling timothy hay.

hi Lily I would not give my rabbits any timothy hay that was not fresh.
all my rabbits eat only pellets nothing else but sometimes i give a little bit of greens .they all have water to drink and i have had no problems.
i don't know the brands of hay you talk about.
