QuestionHello,
I noticed recently on my bunnies back he has a bald spot with white dandruff/flaky skin around it.. It is the size of a quarter. I had chickens a few months ago and got rid of them I clean out the hutch and moved my rabbit to his new home it is much larger then his previous hutch. . I have fresh alfalfa and have been giving him that he seems to like it. I read frontline is not for rabbits... Is revolution or stronghold for rabbits and is it a over the counter treatment for rabbits?? What do you suggest I treat him with and where I can purchase it?? Can I bath him?? Can I bath him with flea/tic shampoo for puppies?? Thanks for your time
Bernie
AnswerDear Bernie,

Revolution/Stronghold (selamectin) is not an over-the-counter product; you need to get it from your rabbit-savvy veterinarian:

DO NOT use over-the-counter flea products or shampoos, as even those with rabbits on the label can have very harmful ingredients. DO NOT bathe your bunny. Please see:

for more information on the dangers of bathing a bunny, and for alternative, safer ways of cleaning him up.
But best bet is to get bun to a good rabbit vet for in-person diagnosis and appropriate treatment.
I hope this helps.
