Ringworm in Rabbits

Question
My vet has diagnosed my 4.5 year old female rabbit with ringworm. Anti-fungal medication (I think - it's a yellow liquid, not sure the name) was started 8 days ago. She has also been on a (white liquid) antibiotic for 3 weeks.

How long does she need to be on these medications until she looks better? It's quite a severe case of ringworm (lots of dense scaly patches on top of her body, lots of raw-looking skin on her belly and legs). She still eats like a champ and does her best to run around. However, for much of the time, she sits very still and it looks like she's barely breathing. Vet said not to worry about it and that the medication takes 6 weeks to work.

So I'm looking for a second opinion. She looks extremely sick and weak (despite her healthy appetite). We are cleaning out her cage often and spraying everything down with bleach so that she can heal. The skin on her legs is so thin on one of them that it looks as though it is raw bone.

Are we doing things right? I feel like 8 days of anti-fungal treatment + 3 weeks of antibiotics should at least improve her appearance slightly but I feel like she looks even worse than before.

Answer
hi Chen i think the same as you .
3 Weeks on antibiotics should see some difference in he rabbit so i would get a second opinion with another vet
ringworm is bad and it does take a long time to clear up so don't expect to see much difference in a week
Dave.
