QUESTION: can an older buck be nuetured, around 5 years

ANSWER: Hi Susan he answer is yes but at his age giving anaesthetics are not very good for the rabbit.
If it was me I would not bother.
When you know that all rabbits are classed as adults at 5 months old yours is getting on a bit.

QUESTION: he gets very moody and I have young female guinea pigs that come into season I wondered if this affected his behaviour, he will go all day without eating then he will eat in the evening, I cannot work him out. Thanks

being moody is a sign of old age, and yes the pigs coming into season may affect his hormones.
don't worry about him not eating in the daytime, as long as he is eating OK i would not be to bothered.
he is like old people , they don't eat the same as young people.
