Question
QUESTION: My pig only wants to eat.he will play with toys only for  little bit.is there a toy they like? or something to keep him busy and not yelling.he is 3 months old.he likes to walk awand the house but when he passes a part in the house he forgets about his litter box and he goes potty were ever he wants. what can i do about that to.

ANSWER: Hello,
Pigs are very intelligent and need lots of stimulus!
He would probably like another animal to play with.  They need lots of new things to explore and keep them busy.
At three months of age your piglet needs to be in a confined area most of the time so he can be litter box trained.  Don't give him too much freedom too soon or he will get lazy about going back to the box.  This can take a while so be patient.
He should only be out for only only 30 to 45 minutes and only when you are there to keep an eye on him.  Then back to the pen so he can potty.

If he goes in his box he can have more time out.
I hope this helps.
Good luck,
Patty

QUESTION: how old should he be when we let im out more.will he get the going back to his litter box thing by himself?

Answer
Hello,
Piglets are like children....they mature at different rates and times.
I always tell my clients not to give to much freedom too soon.
For example....one week is not nearly enough time to consider your piglet litter box trained. You can allow more time out of the confined area when he hasn't had any accidents for several weeks.  Just don't increase the time out of the pen by too much time.  I would suggest you add 30 minute segments at a time and see if that works.
The more consistant your are at this age the better the long term results will be.
Good luck,
Patty
