Peachfaces with other birds

Hi Chris,

I am thinking of getting a peachfaced lovebird. They seem so sweet and I would love to have one as a pet. I would provide a large cage, proper care and daily or every other day play time. The wings would most likely be clipped for safety.

I would like it if the bird had a companion to play with while I am busy, but still be bonded to me. If I got two lovebirds, would they still sit on my shoulder/play with me or would they only have eyes for each other?

You have worked this out correctly. A pair will "only haveeyes for each" in your own words.

For what you want, I recommend a male bird and as young as possible, still with a darkmark on the beak. To be sure of the sex, insist on a guarantee and DNA test.
