hi

I have 2 budgies and i got them 2 months ago. one is a green one and the other is a blue one. my blue one BITES HARD when i go close to it with my finger. it also makes this chirping noise that doesnt look like it wants me there and IT JUST STRIKES AT MY FINGER and tries to bite me. but my green one is nice he likes my finger and licks it everytime i go to it and also hops on my finger. can u tell me some ways that i can prevent my blue one from biting me? or tell me why it is.

Answer -
hello,
most budgies are not tame unless they were hand-fed. You may want to get there wings clipped and get a pair of gloves and just keep holding the blue one after awhile he will get use to you holding him and will learn that you will not hurt him.it may take awhile, or if you don't want to tame the blue one you can separate them.
if you have any more ?S just ask
if this helped you please give me a rating.

hello,
he shouldn't get to stressed out, if you don't want to use gloves you can take him out of his cage and let him land on the floor and take your hand and move it under him it may take a few try's for him to know that you wont hurt him and so he wont jump off your hand. Try this and let me know it may take a few days. And when he is losing his feathers don't worry it may be a couple thing he is losing his teenager feathers and his adult feathers are growing in or he could just be losing a few feathers like most birds do more will grow in. Hope this helped. If you have anymore ?S just ask.

Answer
ok, they may be doing that because they are fighting over whom gets what toy or they might be doing, that cause they are just playing as long as they don't make each other bleed they will be fine. Sure you can send me a picture my e-mail is Animialman2003@aol.com
