Question
i have just put my 4 month old mouse with my male 6 month old mouse. i am planning on keeping them together for a week because i think that ensures that she will be in heat and mate one of those days. is this OK and i plan on putting her back with her sister and getting a coconut shell as nest. feeding her avocados almonds cashews and bread in milk. when can i give the new babies to their new homes, when the young are still pinky how do I clean the cage with them in it, and i dont khow what color anglela is she is like blonde with black eyes but i dont think blonde is a mouse color? help

Answer
I would put the female with the male until she is visibly pregnant. Otherwise the chances of success go down drastically. You can give the new babies to their homes at around 8 weeks to ensure they will all be healthy. When the babies are born wait three days until cleaning everything but the nest they are in. After about two weeks you can clean the cage as usual. The food you plan on feeding Angela sounds perfect and you may put her back with her sister but watch CAREFULLY how she interacts with the babies. If she hogs them to herself, bites them, or eats them remove her IMMEDIATELY, all these will result in death for the babies.(especially if she eats them :p)
The color of your mouse is most likely fawn. I have a fawn colored mouse who looks blonde to me.
