Help for my Hamster!!

hello there,i was wondering if you could help me because i have 2 chinese dwafs and one of them seems to have changed slightly, i am aware that they have very large balls but one of them has 2 large pink bits coming out of them!! ive never noticed tihs before and was horrified when i just noticed!! it only happens really when he sits or lies on them but am unaware if this is the norm or not!! thank you for your time and i look forward to hearing from you!!YoursRichard x

This sounds as though it is normal - Chinese males are renowned for their large testicles.  They can sometimes change in size, color or can be slightly lopsided or appear a bit odd, especially in the warmer weather or when they have just woken up.  It is possible for a hamster to develop testicular cancer but this is quite rare.  Most times when people go to the vet with a hamster with suspected 'testicular cancer' it normally turns out to be perfectly normal.

Apart from this, how is he?  Has there been any change in his behavior.  When there is cancer, there is often a change in the hamster - such as drinking a lot more water, changes in their eating/playing patterns, they can lose weight, want to sleep more, their fur goes dull etc.  If he is his usual self then this is probably normal for him.  If there are any changes, if you notice any bleeding or pus, or if you are worried then it would be worth getting a vet to have a look.
