Hi Andrea,

Chocolate is not good to give any animal. It isn't good for any pet. Some of the chemicals in chocolate are toxic to ferrets and it takes very little chocolate to make a ferret sick. I mean as little as 1/10th of an ounce. Keep chocolate away from all pets!

If you're asking this question because your ferret already got some chocolate, you need to check for the following signs:

vomiting
muscle tremors
depression
increased urination.

If you see any of these signs, you need to take your ferret to the vet right away. It could be fatal.
