DHLPP shot

Question
My yorkie is 10 y.o. and needs a DHLPP shot.  Can you tell me: 1. how often he needs this shot and 2. should he get the L portion of the shot?

the VMA is recommending that shots are only needed every three years.  I've read that animals over 7 have gotten all the immunity they're ever going to get so the only shots they need are the rabies that are legally required.  Check with your vet for shot recommendations.
