my dog does not eat properly

QUESTION: i have a 9 month old female dog 'Misty'. i feed her boiled eggs. my mother said that egg is heaty food , so i should not give her eggs. i live in rajasthan == state of india , here temperature in summer is around 48 C. should i discontinue egg, but misty loves eggs and she doesn't eat much except eggs.

ANSWER: I am not sure eggs are any worse in hot weather than other times.  The problem is, they are not a complete and balanced diet.  They are very high in fat, and not the unsaturated ones that dogs do need a little of.  She would be much better off eating a dog food.  I know Pedigree is widely available in India.  It should be much better for her than a diet of mostly eggs.  A dog may look good eating a diet with too much fat, but it could be damaging its pancreas, and that won't show up until it is too late.

QUESTION: thank you for your answer, my dog misty dont eat Pedigree, i feed her boiled chicken once a week,but she does not like any other food except chicken and boiled egg. what to do for her good health. i am worry about her, please reply !

Many times if a dog won't eat like it should, it is because it is being fed too much.  Your dog definitely should be narrower at the waist than the hips and chest. You should be able to easily feel the ribs, but not see them. Each dog is different. Standard recommendations are a good place to start, but each dog must have its food and exercise adjusted to its individual needs. If it isn't overweight, I think I have heard some other brands of dog food are available in India including Royal Canin. Check around.
