WHAT I WANT TO KNOW IS IF I BREED THEM WITH HER FIRST PERIOD.. DOES IT AFFECT THE QUALITY OF THE PUPPIES? I WAS TOLD THE 3 PERIOD IS THE STRONGEST.. ALSO I WANT TO KNOW IS SHE TOO YOUNG TO BE BRED. WILL IT AFFECT HER PHYSICALLY IN A NEGATIVE WAY...IM DYING TO BE A GRANDMA(AT 21..LOL) BUT I DONT WANT TO HAVE ANY COMPLICATIONS WITH MY BABYGIRL...
PLEASE TELL ME IF ITS OK

Answer
Taty,

As far as her age she is old enough to breed.  If you don't want any complications you must make sure that you breed her with a male that is smaller than her.  The optimum weight ratio is to breed a 5 pound female with a 2.5 to 3 pound male.  The time to breed them so she will get pregnant is between her 7th day and 13th day of her heat cycle.  A word of caution, if you breed her with a male that is the same size as she is or larger you are asking for trouble.  I have a word document that explains everything you need to know about breeding before you get started.  You may want to read it before you make the decision to breed your female.  If you send me your email address I can send it to you.
