why is she acting like this?

hi there. my yorkie is around 6 wks pregnant, and she has been acting really strangely. she wont stand up to walk around and she whines all the time. she stayed in the same place for an hour, and thats nothing like her!! she shouldn't be having the puppies just yet should she?

Are you sure she is six weeks pregnant?  Has this been confirmed by your vet?  Is this the first time she has been pregnant?  She defiantly should not be acting this way.  Her behavior could be the result of her hormones being out of wack or it could be a physical problem.  Do you get the sense that the whining is pain related or do you think it is emotional?    It could be something as simple as her hormones being out of order or it could be as serious as complications with her pregnancy. Whatever the cause I think a trip to the vet is in order.
