Question
My 1.5 yr old yorkie is peeing EVERYWHERE ...AND I MEAN EVERYWHERE!!!! He has not been neutered..yet! We have tried the "wrap" idea, we take him out often but he pees on everything PLEASE  PLEASE HELP!!! We love him and are so frustrated.

Answer
Lisa,

Are you planning on getting him neutered?  If so I suggest you do it asap.  While having him neutered will not stop him completely from marking his territory it does help a little.  Has he just started peeing everywhere or did this just start?  If it just started I would have to say that somewhere within smelling distance there is a female in heat.  It can be any female (not just a Yorkie).  You stated that you tried the "wrap" idea, I am not familiar with anything by that name so could you enlighten me?

You may have to try using a doggie diaper until you figure out what is going on.  You can purchase one at any pet store.  I have the re-useable kind.  They have pads that go in them so you can use it over and over again and just throw the pad away when it gets soiled.  I don't use the pad I purchase a bag of preemie baby diapers and cut them to the size I want and put them in the diaper.  You can do the same thing with feminine napkins.

I have potty training methods but I am not sure if that is going to help because he is already a year and a half old.  Also, I would need to know the answers to some of my questions before I could give you a more personalized plan.
