Hi Melinda, my name is Michelle & last week my Yorkshire Terrier was in season, my other dog caught her, & i think she may be pregnant, please could you tell me what the early signs of pregnancy are.

Minnie looks so cute! It is too early to tell if she is pregnant but in a couple of weeks if her little pee pee is still swollen then she is probably pregnant. After their heat if they are pregnant the pee pee stays swollen. As time goes on it should swell more and more. The other signs like, swollen nipples, and a fat tummy do not generally appear until the last three weeks. You didn't say how big your male was but if he is larger than Minnie you could have problems with the birthing process. If you have not already done so you need to make sure you read as much as you can about the breeding process before she has her puppies. Good Luck!
