Question
Hi Faye!
I have a 3 1/2 yr husky-shepherd mix. She seems to have more of a husky personality though. so I thought you could help.
She is generally a trustworthy dog that most people would consider a dream of owning but ''
1) she chases squirels! (I have to leash her when I go out
2) she still gets into the garbage can even though she is not supposed to
3) she pulls really hard on the leash...(I know I know. Duh...)
I have pretty much given up on these things but I am willing to try to work with her because she is a smart (and sneaky) doggie.

Answer
Dear Michele,
It sounds to me as though you do have more husky than shepherd in your dog.All these behaviours are really normal in this kind of dog.And the pulling well that is what they are bred for. They just love to hunt. They are also very stubborn and not much interested in doing what you want.So i am afraid that you have one very normal husky on your hands.I have four,so all i can say is enjoy,as that is the kind of dog they are
Hope this helps,Faye and Husky Crew.
