Question
Hello, First off thank you for taking your time to answer my question.  I am getting my first great dane and am concerned on training.  I have had other dogs growing up, poodles, cockers, etc. and had no problem training with family.  This is my first just me.  I am concerned about housetraining.  I will crate train and take out and do what is ness. I am sure there isnt much more I can do.  I am afraid of barking, and really dont wanna just a spray bottle in fear that he might grow up to dislike water?  I guess I am just a bit over concerned.  Any thoughts?

Answer
Don't like crates but that's just an British thing.  II understand the Americans are mad on them.

One dog on its own will be lonely and tend to bark.  Either have a second dog for company or wait until you can stay at home most of the time as company.
