breeding sheperds and how to get started

I simply adore the sheperd breed and have had 3 wonderful dogs in my life.  I have been considering breeding for a business and was wondering if you could give me sites or advice about how to get started and just exactly would be involved in this endeavor.  I am looking at this time to purchase a female for $1000.00 dollars.....am I on the right road?

The price means nothing breeders that charge outradious fees cannot guarantee u how that puppy will look lik or end up like, so do not be fooled with sites and prices.

I have just bought two girls from Germany of only 8 weeks old so I can raise them Pats way to be super adults as Mine all are.  People are in AwEE when they come and see a pack of six dogs and 8 pups running together happily.  They  know I am the Leader and Boss and they love and respect me and live to please only ME, PAT

You must decide on what lines your going to breed, all West like mine or just plain Amercian lines of anything.?
I breed only West German lines, Pure German Bred Shepherds for better health, higher intelligence, etc.  This is what you must research and know what you want to do.  I cannot tell you as a top breeder myself is doing, u might have different ideas.

I have a fortune in my investment, in dogs, shipping and kennels, whelp rooms, all kinds of things involved to be a top breeder and I only got $800 per pup for last two litters all sold, but having the Shutzhund bridge, wall to jump and ties for Obedience, I am charging more next litter in August.

I do hips at seven months of age to see if they look good for HD will show if they have it.  Mine do not.  If they posess anything wrong I spay or neuter, I have four in homes now and just spayed two bitches.  One a long coat and one through a heart murmur, did not give her another chance to do this and she is going into a wonderful home along with a pup the docter bought from me from Sashe litter.

I spend countless hours working with my pups, I wean them young to puppy food soaked to eat, but the mommys are here yet to enjoy and they run, learn kindergarten training I do with them so they are well prepared for new homes and adjust well I am told my all good phone calls or emails.

Study and research what you want to do with your breeding program, but one thing is to breed out HD and all health problems in this wonderful breed of dog.  Do u know they have the largest brain space of any breed in the world, no wonder they learn English and know my looks when I am angry or upset without saying one word. lol.

There is no road in prices, for I pay anywhere from one grand to five grand plus shipping for many of mine come from Germany if u visit my site, Gino my stud is from Germany to return for training and titles, Hero a pup is from Germany, Cathy bitch that just had five nice super pups is Germany and Rosetta is from Germany so get ready to spend alot of money and two girls coming next week from Germany to raise from Kevin vom Murrtal a top VA45 rated stud in much demand, I would of taken three but will not ship that many in a crate.
