grooming my cocker spanial

Question
I have a male cocker spanial. He's l 1/2 year old.
He is quite a hand full. He is very aggressive with our family about alot of things. Like trying to get him to let us pick him up, or make him do anything like brush him, bath him, trim his hair, trim his nails, spray him with flea spray. My problem is that his hair is matted, he has fleas, needs a bath, and a hair cut. Can he be put to sleep with something that we can give him so we can manicure him?

Answer
Diane,
I strongly suggest your dog needs obedience school, as his aggressive behavior will get increasingly worse. As for putting him to sleep, PLEASE do not try this. Take him to a professional groomer who is trained to deal with dogs that are tempermental. Some groomers do use sedation. A vet may also offer this service, so check your local vet out as well.
Hope your "little one" can get a fresh new "do" soon!
