Cocker Yeast on Mouth

Question
I am feeding my cocker (2 years old) Orijens kibble.  He has a purplish/brown stain on his mouth and is transferring that to anything it touches wnd it is very difficult to remove.  My vet gave me some medicated wipes and told me to use baby wipes as a backup.  He said this is common in the cocker breed but my other two cockers did not have this problem.

The majority of his water (90%) comes from a PUR filtered water pitcher.

Is there anything else I can do to alleviate this problem?  I have read your other post and would appreciate any other help.

Thank You, in advance, for your help.

Answer
How long has this been happening?
What formula Orijen are you using?

If it's yeast, put a tiny bit of plain white vinegar in his water.  You can also use a half water/half vinegar "wipe" for his lips.  Mix water & vinegar, dip a small cloth in it, sqeeze gently and wipe his lips all 'round.
Yeast cannot survive in an acidic environment.  Do not use baby wipes.

I am surprised your vet didn't put him on an antibiotic to clear this up.  If his only help was giving you some medicated wipes, I'd be getting another opinion.

Best water for dogs is Spring Water because it has no fluoride.
