Question
My bostan is a very finicky eater. I finally found a dog food she will eat,but now she isn't eating that. She does this every so often. what can i do to get her to eat? She has lost some weight and it is worrying me. Also when is the best time to mate her? She is two years old and will not let a male touch her. I have been told that if they don't have at least one litter, they will become mean. Is this true? If not I am not going to worry about mating her,but I would still like to know. One more thing please, she sheds alot. What can I do for that? I hope you can give me some advice on what to do. I am so worried. She is still pretty active. I hope to hear from you. Thank you!

Answer
Hello anna and thank you for your question, That is absoulutly not true!!!! you do not have to breed her and should not if she isnt papered and pedigreeed and you can find permanat homes for the babies prodcued! The dog will never turn mean if not bred that is the most ridulus thing about breeding I've ever heard... sorry to sound harse but it really is amazing what some people will tell you. I'd have her spayed not breeding her and not spaying her will cause major health issuse like cancer in the womb and falopian tubes... just think if you spay her she will never get these cancers its that simple. My dogs are picky pick picky as well... one day loving one food the next hating it, I simply leave there food down all teh time and they eat when they must. She is of the perfect age to be bred but please think of cost and problmes before jumping into it,(c- sections... might loose the female during labor ect ect.) feeding and vaccnating a whole litter is costly as well keep in mind your gonig to have them to care for for at lest 6-8 weeks... what if you cant find a perfect home for a puppy or two??? can you keep them? or will they be 'inpounded'? Taking her for a check up at the vets right now would be a good idea to see if her odd eating habits aren't just her being picky afterall.
