Boston Terrier vomiting and skin irritations

Question
I rescued a Boston Terrier who is 2 years old 2 months ago.  He was tied up on a porch in North Carolina, ower did not want him anymore.  I live in Florida.  The previous owner says that he has been throwing up.  He throws up slimy clear foaming matter usually after he eats or drinks.  He is under weight and has lost more weight since I have had him.  Vet told me to restrict his diet to potatoes and turkey.  He is still throwing up.  He is also having problems with losing his hair and flakey skin?  Any ideas or thoughts for Scooter Bug?  I am willing to do whatever I need to do to help him.   He has a wonderful personality and is VERY loving.  Thank you so much for taking time to read and respond.
Thanks again,
Jessica

Answer
Hello and thank you for your qquestions,

It sounds like he has an enlongated soft palate. When the soft palate is overly long it hangs into the throt which very offen causing unexplanable vomiting of clear foam, try another vet if this vet doesnt seem to know much about teh subject of the pushed in face breeds like bostons pugs/pekanese and boxers try find another who does its pretty importnant your vet has treated flat faced breeds before and understand common prol;blems to only these breeds. Here are some links regarding this subject:

I am unsure of the oter problems with your little guy but do read the links on the soift palate problems and I'm sure you will nkwo right away if this is the problem with him or not from teh vomiting.
