9 Yr. Old Bichon Aggressive w/ Grandkids

Question
I've read your previous answers about aggressive behavior due to the whole dominance issue.  My male has bitten a handyman on his way out the door and attacked my grandson's legs in the kitchen when my family was just standing there and grandson waved his arms.  I'm worried that he is too old and habits too ingrained to guarantee no other incidents.  yes, I am guilty of everything you describe from getting on the furniture to sleeping on the bed.  If I were to consider finding him another home, how could I guarantee his behavior.  Am I the problem and when I'm out of the picture, things will change?

Answer
Oh Diane how my heart bleeds for you at this time. Old habits die hard, but he isnt too old to learn new tricks. Believe me I have been there and boy oh boy I cried for a week.have you had his eyes tested for cataracts just to be sure he is seeing what you thinknhe sees.
I too would be guilty of the same , its called LOVE xx
If I could hold you right now I would, but the best decision for his little man is a home with no challenges , but you owe him to get his eyes tested.

Please dont Put to sleep and allow someone else to have his love.He will be happy in his new home, I know I did it last week to my baby boy (now old), Yes you will cry , but trust me what I have heard from his new family made me realise the decision was right.
