Breeders

Question
How can I find breeders of Basset Hounds in Ct., they don't advertise.  I was told not to buy over the internet, pet stores (I've heard) buy their dogs from puppy mills, no one I know has a bassett. So how do I find these people who breed?

you out with finding local breeders.

What about finding a local shelter, or pound and adopting a basset there.

Try using petfinder.com and put in your zip code,breed of dog, and if there are any in local organizations, it will show them.
