Electronic Fences

Do they really work? I've seen them advertised
at Home Depot between $250 and $350

Personally, I've never had one, but am also looking into them right now.  They do work well to keep your dog(s) in a contained area, as long as they are trained not to go outside of the area (because they will get shocked!) However, keep in mind the fence won't keep anything out.  So if you have loose neighborhood dogs, or live out in the country with wild animals, they can still get to your dogs.
