Question
We are the proud owners of 2 blues and 1 red heeler. We are having health issues with y 5 year old Queensland Blue, neutered male.  For the past year he has been having episodes of stumbling like he is drunk and almost falling over after normal exercise. We have taken the holistic route and have had all kinds of test, ekg, bio-resonance therapy,insulin-glucose comparison test, Acetylcholine receptor antibody testing, and have had him on supplements perscribed by his vet. He still has these episodes that last maybe 3 to 4 min. We are on our way to the 3rd vet in Idaho and cannot find out what is the problem. He is healthy, plays, eats, drinks plenty of distilled water. When he was a baby he had mitaban dips for demodec mange I am wondering if this could have hurt him. I am looking to see if this could be  indigenous of the cattle dog. Please send any information. We are trying to now find a neurologist for testing here in Boise.

Answer
Hi Joyce, Sorry to be answering so late...but we have been out of town at dog shows for the past 4 days. The best suggestion I have is to take him to Colorado State Veterinary Teaching Hospital in Fort Collins CO. They are experts in diagnosis......truly amazing what they can do.I have had two of my dogs there...and they diagnosed and treated both who went on to lead long and wonderful lives....as a matter of fact....I have left mucho money to them in my will! I am certain you can get the phone number online. PLEASE contact CSU...you will not be disappointed. They have every specialist you can imagine...good luck...and I would appreciate you letting me know what you find out. Wendy
