QuestionHello, I have a cat who has diarrhea, or sometimes just really loose stools. Sometimes I have noticed a small amount of blood as well. He otherwise acts nomal; eating, drinking and active (he's 8 months old) . He has had this problem for several days now. Is there anything I can do for him at home? What could be causing this, and should I just take him to my vet? I have other cats in the household, and everyone else is just fine. The cat in question is a Siamese, and I am not sure if the breed is more prone to problems. Any advice would be great! Thanks!
AnswerI deffinatly would take him to the vet. Blood is not good, no matter what the problem. He may have a blockage, but only your vet can tell. I don't think there is anything you can do at home, but I wouldn't wait to get it checked out. They dehydrate easy from the diarreha.
